Control Point Solutions Achieves Sarbanes-Oxley Compliance for Clients Through SAS 70 Quality Review

Rutherford, N.J., March 7, 2006 - Control Point Solutions, the leading Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) of Telecommunications Expense Management (TEM) announced today that it has received a favorable SAS-70 Type II opinion from independent auditors.

SAS stands for Statement on Auditing Standards of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants No. 70.  The SAS 70 standard enables independent CPA firms, with Sarbanes-Oxley and SAS 70 expertise, to evaluate and issue an opinion on a service organization's internal controls. Type I audits do not include testing of the controls. Type II reviews include more comprehensive testing and verification that controls are working. A SAS 70 Type II audit is a minimum to be in business serving publicly traded companies and large enterprises.

It is a necessary checklist item that a prospective telecommunications expense management business process outsourcing firm must have as a professional third service provider. The SAS 70 Type II report also helps clients reduce their Sarbanes-Oxley costs. Failure to have the SAS 70 Type II credential shows lack of knowledge about basic service requirements, untested processes or SAS 70 audit failure.
